1-31-23 THOUGHTS
See each verse below as a brush stroke in a beautiful picture. Two ideas are here. Jesus is God’s FULNESS. Then hear the power in “ For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,” Col 2:9 The second idea is that DEITY received A BODY and became AVAILABLE TO US! John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” One of the key ideas in the word FULLNESS is To complete an incomplete thing... Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
John 1:16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
Rom 15:29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
1Cor 10:26 FOR THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S, AND ALL IT CONTAINS.
Eph 1:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him
Eph 1:23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Eph 3:19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Eph 4:13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
Col 1:19 For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
Col 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,
Consider this last carefully...
Gal 4:4-7 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5 so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
Col 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
My Prayer:
O God of heaven, invade our souls with the fullness of the “Abba Father” idea. We want to be close to you in tender relationship, at all times. Thank you for revealing yourself and presenting yourself in the bodily form of Christ Jesus. As He explains you, may we see in all fullness. Grow us to mature persons in Christ. Help us to redeem the time, each moment, that you give us. Give us the desire to grow and struggle as we increase in faith. Bring us together for a marvelous rejoicing in joint faith. Help us to bear fruit. In Jesus we pray, Amen.
